Thanksgiving!

I can never figure out how to put these pictures on here in the order I want! GAH!
ANYWAYS! This Thanksgiving Jamon, Molly, and I (along with Jamon's mom) drove to Indiana to spend the holiday with Jamon's brother! We had a good time! These pictures are of the day we left! I wanted snow and I got it! I made a tiny "Louisiana-style" snow man and we threw snow at each others and took pictures! It was wonderful! Molly wasn't all to happy in the snow! The snowflakes kept hitting her in the face. . . I know that shouldn't be funny. . . . But it was! :)

Jamon and Scott went hunting 3 of the days we were up there! Twice they went duck hunting and got nothing! Then the last day they went rabbit hunting and got three! I was a little leary of eating the rabbit ( I had eaten it before and wasn't a big fan!) But it wasn't bad at all! It could even be considered kinda good! It was gross watching them clean it. And Scott chased me with the rabbit's head. So then I went inside to escape. :)

There is NOTHING in Indiana besides corn fields ( and soy bean fields!) We walked around one and found this last cornstalk. It was out in the field all by itself!

That's really all that has been going on lately! Molly has started rolling over everynow and then. She has also found her voice and gotten VERY loud! :) It's funny though! It is great to see her little personality coming out!

Happy Halloween!!!

We decided to go to the Trunk-or-Treat up at the Church this Halloween! Jamon and I are pirates (ARRR!) and Molly is our parrot! The costume turned out really cute! It was originally a chili pepper costume from Albertson's and when I saw it I decided I could turn it into a parrot! So I bought some felt and Viola! a parrot! I must say - it turned out VERY cute! :)
Jamon even entered the chili contest and won first prize! I'm pretty sure that was the highlight of the night for him! I made my very first pie with the blueberries I picked this summer and it turned out really good! I was pleased! And I am saving the rest of my blueberries for a Christmas Pie! :) I guess it will be a "Whenever Blake Gets Home Pie!" :)
Mom and Dad went as farmers! Ava was a dog! She was quite a cutie herself! She learned really quick that if she held out her pumpkin that people gave her candy!!!
Aren't we cute?!

Ava really likes jumping on the trampoline, however she can't actually jump yet! So Jamon "helps" her by bouncing the trampoline for her. What a sweet bro-in-law! :) And check out that static in her hair. Beautiful!
Molly in the swing again!
Just a cute picture Jamon took while I was WORKING! (woot woot!) yay! I FINALLY got a call at about 9:45 one night that they needed a temp RDH in Tyler the next day! I was uber excited but even more nervous! It has been a while! But it went GREAT! I knew the DDS from a charity thing I particiated in at school - and he liked me then - and now! Ha ha So I will be going back next week - hopefully all week - if they need it! Yay for working! Except, of course, a woman brought her baby girl into the office, and so that made me miss my sweet baby!
But we will be okay!

Yay for Fall!!!!

Molly still loves taking baths! She can be FREAKING OUT and as soon as we take her upstairs and get her undressed - she calms right down!

We also went to the pumpkin patch this last weekend! So much fun! Ava was even a little scared of the pumpkins - which was hilarious! Ha ha! Molly didn't care one way or the other - of course!

Molly LOVES her infant swing - and Ava got a swing to go outside so we thought we would see if she liked swinging out there too! There is a strap that goes across her chest so she can't fly out! And the sun was shining in her eyes, so Jamon put his hat on her! It looked really funny - but she was okay with the hat thing!

Anyways - As you can see I pretty much break out the camera when ever I can! Jamon thinks I am nuts! Oh well though! I'll post more when I get more!

Playing in the Pool

With her Daddy - getting out into the pool for the first time!
Oh! It's cold! Ha ha
She was okay with the whole pool thing for a little while, eventually she did get tired of it! And cried!
This is where we TRIED to get Molly to sleep. . . . . It worked for all of 5 minutes! She ended up sleeping on the air mattress - which was on top of a couch bed - with Jamon and I. None of us slept well . . . :)

Right now I am enjoying the little bit of Gustav we've gotten! Yay for thunderstorms! I've been loving on Molly, reading, organizing pics on my computer, and feeding the PUPPIES we have now! They are sooo cute! You can see the big fat brown one - we don't have to feed him! The other two, the white and black one, aren't nursing though. Mom, Heather, and I have been taking turns feeding them in three hour shifts! Dad and Jamon think we are crazy! Apparently being a tender-hearted animal lover is hereditary!

Jamon is out of school until Thursday - since LSUS is now a shelter for evacuees. That's been nice to have him around! Today I started going through his mom's old pictures and it was a lot of fun to see him (and all his siblings for that matter) as kids! There is no doubt that Molly is his baby! They look a lot a like! I'm not really sure if there is any of me in that little girl! I'll have to figure out how to scan pics of him and put them on here!

One Sad Day

Yesterday was not a good day for Molly. . . . . . .

First we had to take her to the hospital to get her 2ND PKU done. Which means she had to get her heal pricked! She sure didn't like it but it wasn't too bad, she calmed down pretty quickly.

Then we had to go get her first set of vaccinations :( Three shots in her sweet little legs. I was so nervous. I even told her that the shots were going to hurt, but that they where going to help keep her healthy (okay I know that a 2 month old can't understand that - but it makes me feel better!) She cried and screamed like I hadn't heard before (and don't really want to again) but I didn't cry, I was sooo sure I was going to! I guess I just concentrated on trying to comfort her! There was one funny point - after I had gotten her calmed down, the nurse mentioned that she would have to come back when she was 4 months old and get three more shots. Molly started crying again AS SOON as the lady said she would have to get the shots again! We laughed - it was a funny coincidence!

We gave her some tylenol and she slept most of the day, but she has been a little more fussy than usual and running a low fever, which they say in normal! I have been holding her all day, because I want her to know we love her and want her to be okay.

I know I am being weird. Just one of those mommy moments I guess. It was a hard day for me too.

Molly's Blessing

This is a picture of my Nana, Me & Molly, and my mom, Sabette

This is Jamon, his Grandpa & Molly, and Jamon's mom, Rosann
She is so cute but always is making goofy faces when I bust out the camera! Silly Baby

It was so fun to have most of both of our families in town! I love having everyone together, we always have a blast! I will post more pictures later - tonight I am EXHAUSTED! :)

Well already I am not very good at this blogging thing!

It has been very busy around here - we are getting ready for all the family (both sides!) to come in town for Seth's homecoming and Molly's blessing! It is also my sister's, Heather, birthday tomorrow! So starting tomorrow it is going to be one CRAZY weekend! We will go to the airport tomorrow night to see Seth (my cousin) get off the plane and head to Pasado's for some yummy Mexican food, an all day Lake Luau on Saturday, AND my sweet baby girl's blessing on Sunday - which I will most definitely post some pictures of!

Getting Started

So I am starting this blog for our new little family - so the rest of our big family can see pictures of us! ( Mostly our adorable daughter, Molly!)

It's hard to believe she is almost six weeks old already! Time really has flown by! I need to figure out how to post pictures on this thing! She is a little chunky monkey! I'm not sure how much bigger her cheeks could get! It's quite cute though- she rocks the chubby cheeks look! :)
