The letter that made my year!

Let me give you a recap of last week.

Monday Dec 13, 2010 1:00 pm

Meaghan: "Jamon, have you checked the mail yet?"
Jamon : " No Meaghan, I've told you, they said it wouldn't be here until the 15th."
Meaghan: "Well, go check for me anyways - maybe it will get here early!"
Jamon: " Whatever, okay I will"

1:30 pm

Jamon: "It wasn't there, sorry:
Meaghan: "Dang, well it will probably come tomorrow!"
Jamon: "Did you even hear what I said about the 15th?"

Tuesday Dec 14, 2010 - Repeat

Wednesday Dec 15, 2010 - Repeat

Thursday Dec 16, 2010 - Repeat

Friday Dec 17, 2010 - Repeat

Sprinkle in a couple of near nervous break downs.
Sleepless nights
My mom and I driving Jamon crazy.
Meaghan on edge the ENTIRE week.
Jamon cool as a cucumber.

Jamon: "I called the admissions office. They mailed the letters Wednesday."
Meaghan: "Okay, whew! I was getting a little freaked out!"
Jamon: " A little?"

IT FINALLY CAME TODAY!

Jamon let me open the letter. The only word I saw was that "Congratulations!" Imagine lots of jumping up and down, hugs and kisses, tears (from me!) and phone calls or texts to everyone we know!

I know some of the hardest and most stressful years of our lives are headed our way; but right now it's just amazing! I am so proud of Jamon!

O Christmas Tree!

Umm - so blogger is being special and will not let me cut and paste ANYTHING. (any ideas anyone? but the post is in order after this one!) David tasting the ornament!

Earlier this week I decided I was tired having a "naked" tree
(we hadn't put up any ornaments because we assumed Molly would break them!)
I broke out the decorations box and let her go at it!

She was soo cute and funny! She was very careful and
particular about where she put each ornament!

Molly giving an ornament a kiss! She wanted to hold them (instead of put them on the tree) soo bad. But, that really wasn't an option for her!

She was a great big sis and let David "help" her!

Back to the no copying and pasting :( but she was super excited about the first ornament she got to put on the tree!

Pumpkin Patch and Halloween

Okay I don't really feel like trying to cut and paste all of these in the correct orders sooo.....
Above is Molly ( as a flapper) with Nana at our ward's trunk or treat! She has so much fun and came home with a truck load of candy!

I always have such great plans for Family Halloween costumes and as we get closer to Halloween it always falls through! Maybe when I'm not working full-time that will pan out for us! Ha ha Anyways, Jamon was Bob the Builder and David was an Itsy Bitsy Spider!

Molly and Ava didn't want to participate in the Chili dinner - just play in the grass! Ava is a princess by the way!
David on the other hand, is all about food!

So this happened around October 15 - we visited Jamon's family in Texas. There is a family in their stake that owns a pumpkin patch and Jamon's mom and brother were helping out so we went and had a great time!

There were so many pumpkins Molly couldn't decided which one she wanted to take home! (I helped her pick out a $3 one instead of a $25 one! lol :)

"Driving" the little tractor!

My adorable little David and his pumpkin

Molly has decided she doesn't really like to look at the camera anymore.....

What I Love about Sundays

This morning when my alarm went off, the radio was playing that song by Craig Morgan (I think he is the one who sings it:) What I Love about Sundays . . . and it got me thinking.....

What Meaghan Loves about Sundays:

* The look on Molly's face when I am there when she wakes up in the morning
* The car ride to church
* How cute the kiddos look when they are clean and dressed for church (esp David in his
white shirt and tie! adorable!)
*Feeling the peace the Spirit brings during Sacrament Meeting . . . . . .
and then realizing Molly has escaped and is screaming "Weeeee!" as she runs around the pews.
*Singing during Primary
* Getting to snuggle a sleeping baby
* Seeing how much Molly loves nursery, her new teacher, and new friends
* After Church NAPS for everyone!
* Spending a lazy afternoon as a family, making dinner together and hanging out.

The worst part about Sunday is that it has to end.
Real life resumes, back to work and back to the crazyness of the Monday - Friday routine.
I love everything about Sundays

Bubbles!!!

For Molly's birthday this year we bought her a bubble machine! Laziness on our part because we were tired of blowing them for her. . . . :) Anyways - I finally snapped a few pictures of her playing in them and of David watching his crazy sister!

Molly is trying to whack all the bubbles with a ginormous glue stick ..... on a side note - I'm not sure I have ever used a glue gun that big, mine is a teeny one don't know where it came from! Anyways the challenge is making sure David doesn't get accidentally whacked while Molly is aiming for bubbles!

There for awhile I would wonder if Molly would ever decide that she actually likes David. Amazingly - she has! She loves her "Baby David"! She will sit and play with him - rush to comfort him and make him smile when he is sad! She even likes to try and feed him his baby snacks! He loves her too - I think he is always amazed at her running around and laughing! He finds her very entertaining!

Little Artist

I found my old acrylic paints and canvas (back from my days of working at Michael's!) when we moved and I decided to let Molly paint a picture for her room!

She took the painting very seriously - telling me which colors she wanted to use and where to squirt it on the paper plate! She was very proud of her masterpiece!

Summer Fun

It's been a busy summer so far! We've [finally] gotten into our new apartment and love it! The weeks go by so fast and I can't believe how big Molly and David are getting!

On the 14th Molly had her very first trip to the dentist! We'd been practicing saying "Ahh" for about 2 weeks and having Molly let me look in her mouth and guess what?! She still had a meltdown the second our doctor tried to look at her teeth .... hopefully in 6 months it will be better! She did enjoy the stickers though!

Unlike his big sister, David really enjoys his tummy time! I know before too long he will be crawling and we will wish that he was still immobile :) It is wonderful to watch him growing and trying to learn new skills! He is getting to be a big boy - I try to compare him to other babies his age and he is always bigger, still hoping he will be tall like his daddy! He has such a sweet little personality. He wants to be held and snuggled. It is very easy to get him to laugh - Molly loves to make him smile and they will entertain each other for minutes (ha ha) on end!

We've started letting Molly and David bathe together and they love it! Molly likes to boss David around and tell him to stop splashing and to not make a mess (Don't know where she would have heard that?!) We definitely have two little water babies - They love the bath and the complex's swimming pool - Molly asks to go "Fwimming" every day. David really enjoys the water too!
