  • We gain a wonderful sis-in-law AND a handsome nephew!
  • Jamon becomes Mister Mom of the Year :)
  • Meaghan gets the bestest birthday gift of all - A KitchenAid Mixer!
  • We had lots of fun doing things as a family this year; fireworks on July 4th, swimming, Easter egg hunting, playing at lots of different, parks, going to the pumpkin patch, visiting family, trick or treating, Christmas in Winnsboro and too much else to list!!!

It's amazing when I think of all the ways we were blessed this year! It is so true that the Lord knows us individually; and that he will always bless us in ways that we don't expect!

The letter that made my year!

Let me give you a recap of last week.

Monday Dec 13, 2010 1:00 pm

Meaghan: "Jamon, have you checked the mail yet?"
Jamon : " No Meaghan, I've told you, they said it wouldn't be here until the 15th."
Meaghan: "Well, go check for me anyways - maybe it will get here early!"
Jamon: " Whatever, okay I will"

1:30 pm

Jamon: "It wasn't there, sorry:
Meaghan: "Dang, well it will probably come tomorrow!"
Jamon: "Did you even hear what I said about the 15th?"

Wednesday Dec 15, 2010 - Repeat

Thursday Dec 16, 2010 - Repeat

Friday Dec 17, 2010 - Repeat

Sprinkle in a couple of near nervous break downs.
Sleepless nights
My mom and I driving Jamon crazy.
Meaghan on edge the ENTIRE week.
Jamon cool as a cucumber.

Jamon: "I called the admissions office. They mailed the letters Wednesday."
Meaghan: "Okay, whew! I was getting a little freaked out!"
Jamon: " A little?"

IT FINALLY CAME TODAY!

Jamon let me open the letter. The only word I saw was that "Congratulations!" Imagine lots of jumping up and down, hugs and kisses, tears (from me!) and phone calls or texts to everyone we know!

I know some of the hardest and most stressful years of our lives are headed our way; but right now it's just amazing! I am so proud of Jamon!

O Christmas Tree!

Umm - so blogger is being special and will not let me cut and paste ANYTHING. (any ideas anyone? but the post is in order after this one!) David tasting the ornament!

Earlier this week I decided I was tired having a "naked" tree
(we hadn't put up any ornaments because we assumed Molly would break them!)
I broke out the decorations box and let her go at it!

She was soo cute and funny! She was very careful and
particular about where she put each ornament!

Molly giving an ornament a kiss! She wanted to hold them (instead of put them on the tree) soo bad. But, that really wasn't an option for her!

She was a great big sis and let David "help" her!

Back to the no copying and pasting :( but she was super excited about the first ornament she got to put on the tree!

Pumpkin Patch and Halloween

Okay I don't really feel like trying to cut and paste all of these in the correct orders sooo.....
Above is Molly ( as a flapper) with Nana at our ward's trunk or treat! She has so much fun and came home with a truck load of candy!

I always have such great plans for Family Halloween costumes and as we get closer to Halloween it always falls through! Maybe when I'm not working full-time that will pan out for us! Ha ha Anyways, Jamon was Bob the Builder and David was an Itsy Bitsy Spider!

Molly and Ava didn't want to participate in the Chili dinner - just play in the grass! Ava is a princess by the way!
David on the other hand, is all about food!

So this happened around October 15 - we visited Jamon's family in Texas. There is a family in their stake that owns a pumpkin patch and Jamon's mom and brother were helping out so we went and had a great time!

There were so many pumpkins Molly couldn't decided which one she wanted to take home! (I helped her pick out a $3 one instead of a $25 one! lol :)

"Driving" the little tractor!

My adorable little David and his pumpkin

Molly has decided she doesn't really like to look at the camera anymore.....

Riding the big tractor out to the pumpkin patch!
