Halloween!

Now that it nearing Christmas..... a Halloween post! :)

We carved a pumpkin!

Sorry for the blurry picture! It's a horse! Of course!

We went to the Ward Fall Festival!
Pumpkin painting = fun and messy

Boo at the Zoo!
So much fun! There were even some animal skulls to look at! And of course lots of candy!

And on a more violent note - I want to punch this dang lady for turning around and smiling in the ONLY good picture I got of my kids that day. Jerk. :/

AND of course Halloween!
We are Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, Grandma, and the Woodsman

At one point, Jamon had a cardboard axe....

Carolyn's Country Cousins

One of the benefits to living around other young student families, is we are all looking for free/super cheap things to do - and everyone usually passes the word along when we find something good! :)

Carolyn's was having a free afternoon so a bunch of us hopped in the car and headed to the pumpkin patch!

Molly and her friend, Avery

Checking out the chickens!

So apparently, these stinkers decided that they were not going to look at the camera and
smile for the whole afternoon.

I get points for trying right?!

Park Tricks

The munchkins learned some new tricks at our little park!

David is officially a monkey, noises included!

Molly taught herself how to hang upside down and she is so proud!

Bitty Soccer

Molly started soccer!

She wasn't so sure about the whole idea, but after leaving practice today she told me "I LOVE soccer! I won, Mama, did you see me?"  I didn't have the heart to tell her that today was only practice. :) So she won practice. She had such a good time!

The boys on her team decided that their team name should be The Avengers!

David, on the other hand, was mad that he couldn't play too. We did bring his soccer ball, but he was still pretty pouty the whole time! Poor guy, next year!

Woowho!

Guess who is potty trained?!

Let's just say that I am beyond thrilled!

When it hit me that Baby #3 would be here soon-ish (we are at 16 weeks BTW) I decided that David should be done with diapers! And lucky for me, he agreed! M&Ms are the key to this little man's heart! He will do just about anything for 2 M&Ms!

He's cute and a cheap date :)

Shh... I've got a secret!

Ok, so it's definitely not a secret anymore! :)

Molly's First Day of Preschool!

My sweet little girl is going to preschool!

She was beyond excited! Especially, about riding the bus! The "big kid's" bus stop is visible from our window and both kids love to watch them get on! Now Molly gets to ride too!

Showing off her backpack

A big smile as she saw her bus coming down the street!

Jamon was able to be a little late for school that morning to help see her off!

Still excited, I'm sure having her beloved flower blanket in her backpack helped calm
any fears she might have had!
I *might* have been sad for just a minute, but it was hard to be when
she was so happy about going to school!

Big Green Caterpillar!

We found a treasure last week :)

The biggest caterpillar I have ever seen! He was just crawling along in the middle of the road, so we scooped him up and let him spend the night in a pickle jar!

The kids thought he was fascinating! Which lead to his early "release" because little fingers wanted to pick him up!

It's hard to tell, but I would say he was 4 inches long and as big around as my thumb!

Molly's Birthday!

We also celebrated Molly's 4th birthday in Idaho! (and my 26th!)

There were also a few other birthdays in the same week!

She had so much fun being with her family on her birthday!

Molly at 4 years:

43 inches tall
44 pounds

Molly can (sometimes) write her name
Ride a bike with training wheels
Draw faces and horses
Loves to be read to
Help her Mom do the dishes, sweep, and clean the bathroom
Get dressed by herself
Loves horses and ponies
Likes to eat shrimp, pasta, salmon, and cookies (and she claims to like veggies :)
Sleeps on the top bunk

Doan Reunion - Yellowstone

We also had the opportunity to visit Yellowstone while we were in Idaho! I haven't been since I was 10 or so, and Jamon has never been! We spent the day driving around and stopping at anything that looked interesting!

It was so beautiful!

We saw lots of wildlife!

I didn't get a picture of it, BUT I did see a bear's bum. :)

We drove over to Old Faithful, and it went off while we were in the parking lot. :/

So we waiting an hour and fifteen minutes.

That's a long wait for impatient kiddos who can't run around because they *may* fall through the ground into boiling hot water.

Finally! It was worth the wait.

We drove around for the rest of the day and enjoyed the beautiful scenery!

Jamon and I have decided that when we are old (meaning no kids :) we will have to take motorcycles up and drive around again!

Doan Family Reunion

Long post! :)

We DROVE to Idaho this summer! Crazy? Yes. But absolutely worth it! We had a blast at the Doan Family Reunion in St. Anthony!

My Aunt found an amazing cabin that we all stayed in! Think of slides from the second floor to the first, an indoor basketball court, Foosball, ping-pong, and air hockey!

And let's not forget the hot tub! Molly and Ava would have stayed in it the whole week!

And for little boys who didn't want to wear their life jackets (and are to short to touch the bottom in the middle) There was car washing!

And of course, motorcycle and 4 wheeler rides for everyone!

We went bowling in Rexburg

For the record: Molly does have shorts on underneath this shirt/dress/tunic thing. ;)

We went shooting! Ear plugs and ear muffs everyone! The little girls even got a turn with the guns! (Scary thought I know!)

And again, for feisty little boys who wouldn't wear ear protection, there was the *exciting* opportunity to pick up spent shotgun shells!
More to come soon!
