Mom's Day Off!
I took a day off work last week and we had a blast spending some time together!
We recently discovered that our library has a baby/toddler story time every week, Molly and David LOVE it! The librarian is wonderful and the kids think she is awesome!
We also ran to Sam's and had a lunch of soft pretzels and pizza! Molly is addicted to those pretzels (and who could blame her they are awesome!)
We also spent some time at the park near our house! It's great to get out in the sunshine! Yay for spring time!

Tyler Zoo
This is us waiting outside the apt for mom and dad to get there! We were playing outside so the kiddos didn't wake Jamon [Going off on a tangent here but, he has been working FULL TIME night shift for about a month now AND being Mr Mom during the days! He is awesome! ] Molly put David's gator in his car seat! As Mike Rowe would say "Safety third!"
Last time we went to the zoo, Molly was only a year old and really only saw the bushes around the animal enclosures......
We thought it was about time to go again!
Tyler Zoo has a "Wild Bird Walkabout" (Which, in reality, is a screened in porch filled with parakeets) You can buy a stick with birdseed stuck to it ($1) and feed these "wild" birds.
As any nearly three year old would, Molly thought it was amazing. We talked about it before bed tonight and she couldn't stop talking about feeding the birdies and how she still reeeeallly wanted to hold one!
Today was the perfect day for a trip - warm and beautiful, a little breeze!
Most of East Texas thought the same thing! It was a little crowded; but not too bad! We still had a great time!
My favorite part was this crazy ostrich! He walked right up to the glass and was scoping us out! Apparently, we were pretty shady looking! He snapped at David and scared him! It was funny though, David was in a big hurry to get away from that glass! Poor little guy!
Of course there is a petting zoo with a few goats! The kids all liked this part! David wanted to sit on the goat (Sadly, for him this is against the rules!) it didn't stop him from trying though!
The girls had a great time! Loved looking at all the big animals and spending the day together!
