Jamon is 1/4th of a Doctor! Can you believe it?! This has been the longest and shortest year of our marriage! We have both grown so much and really have learned to be a team.
Budgeting has never been a strong suit for me (just ask my parents, they dealt with my teenage money handling :) but thankfully Jamon is a tightwad cheapskate we'll just say he's frugal! I tease him about it, but I am very grateful for what he brings to our marriage. The saying "opposites attract" is very true for us and we are able to work together and learn from each other!
I am also sooooo thankful that we will have this summer for him to spend with Molly and David! Next summer will be his last one before rotations and "real life" set in. Jamon wakes up at an unholy hour (5 am) to study for a little while and head to school and usually is gone until 7pm (later if there is a test!) The kids use to run into my room in the morning looking for Jamon and would be so disappointed when he wasn't there. Now, it is one of my favorite things to wake them up and tell them that Daddy is downstairs waiting for them!
Mostly, I am ridiculously proud of Jamon! Saturday night we made pizza and I had a little sentimental moment: when we first met and started dating, Jamon worked two jobs, one of which was at Pizza Hut. And I will admit I was a smidgen judgey of that.... Yes, I was a dumb teenager. Jamon loved the free / discounted pizza though! And it just got me thinking of how far he/we have come. He was told that he would have *such* a hard time getting in to med school and that he would have *such* a hard time once he was in. And you know what? It was hard. And Jamon was amazing. He worked his tail off and he has finished his first year! I am so proud of him. He continually was finding ways to improve his study habits, grades, and get better. Way to go babe!
And now for our mostly sweet little kiddos!
Can you believe how handsome this kid is? Seriously. :)
And our beautiful little girl! Trying to not look into the sunlight!
We planned on going to the park on Saturday and found an EcoFest! It looked entertaining (and they were giving away T-shirts! Who says no to that?!) The kids had a lot of fun and we still got to play around out side!
Molly learning how they clean up oil spills....
And for your viewing pleasure..... Eco Elvis.
Ice Cream Aquifers! Woowho! David reeeally liked this part! :)
