WHEW! It has been a very eventful two weeks!
We went to the corn maize, halloween, and went to the fair!
AND of course the tornado on the 29th!
Mom, Ava, Molly, and I had driven to Longview to pick up my Nana and bring her back to visit. Dad told us there was going to be some bad weather and to drive careful - no big deal right?!
When we got to Marshall there was a LOT of rain (going about 45 on i-20) but then it let up!
Jamon calls and asks if we want him to start making dinner (of course!) and then calls back about 10 minutes later "Holy Crap Meaghan, something has happened!" :) It takes us about an hour and a half to get from the Red River Bridge to our house (maybe 5 miles) It was crazy in our neighborhood! The police told Jamon and Dad to turn around - that they couldn't get to our house (they did get there tho) and we had to explain that we HAD to drive on Brownlee Road to get to our house! Did I say Heather slept through the whole thing?!?!
Anyways - it was crazy! We lost 7 trees - one really big pecan tree that thankfully fell away from the house. Two trees hit our little house - one pine tree right through the roof. Mom and Dad had a little flooding in two side rooms that are about 6 inches lower than the rest of the house. There is a lot of roof damage on both houses. The columns on the front of the houses are moved one way or the other! The boat's windshield was broken. The big pecan tree fell on our trampoline :(
The "coolest" damage that I saw was our neighbor has an RV parked in his front yard - after the tornado it was on it's side - in the backyard! (and it hit the roof of his neighbor on the way!)
I am just really happy that it wasn't worse - we got off very lucky that no one was hurt (I don't think anyone in the city was actually!) and that we can still live in our home!
It won't let me load pictures right now :( but I will get some on here sometime soon!

Oh, wow, that's crazy! I'm so glad you guys were all safe but I'm sure that was a ton of work.
I saw the pictures on facebook and Molly is so adorable - you have such a cute little family!
