Hair Cut!

Yes Molly is nearly three years old and I FINALLY cut her hair for the first time last week! I was super nervous due to (If you have ever met Molly, you know why I would be nervous.) Anyways, due to the fact that she does not stop moving unless she is asleep [or watching Care Bears but that is not always a sure thing]

She actually did great! Some of her comments:

"Momma BE CAREFUL!"
"Watch my ears"
"No pull my hair Momma!"

Since she was so good she got straw"babies" (berries) as a treat before bed!

And if her first hair cut isn't enough excitement; she got gum stuck in her hair tonight.
You might wonder "Why would a 2 year old have gum?" The answer to your question would be that she is a purse thief. Countless times I have caught her; empty gum package in hand, saying "Momma you need to buy more gum!" {Because she ate it all, just in case you were wondering. }

So she had her first AND second haircut the last two weeks. Lucky girl!

Vroom!

My mom (aka Lolli) gave David a car track toy [thingy] for his birthday! We didn't actually open it until a few days later but, as soon as I got it together they LOVED it!

After watching Molly for a few minutes, David figured out what to do.

Molly decided that the red car is her car and the black car is David's.

Thanks Lolli!

Catch Up!

ARG! I can't figure out why this stuff won't cut and paste! Well............

The first three pictures are of Ava and Molly getting warm after playing in the snow! Cozy and watching Scooby Doo!

One of Molly giving Ava a hug

One of me getting ready to throw a snow ball at Molly..... eh heh heh

Molly making a snow "fairy" (snow angels are so last year)

Cleaning Nana's Car

And one "cleaning" Nana's walkway

ANYWAYS. Molly had a blast. She wanted to go out all day long! And she is still asking about where all the snow went! I guess she will have a great time in Missouri!

Baby David turns One!

I thought since it has been a [whole] year; I would post a little vintage David!

Here we are still in the hospital - I love the way newborns sleep with their hands about their heads. :)
I took this one with my mom about a week after he was born (and then played with it a little in photoshop)

So now that I'm all sentimental now.... Back to the party!

Having "cut and paste" issues right now... so sorry for the order!

Enjoying his cupcake!

It was soo funny. You know how adults close their eyes and savor food as they eat it?
Well check out this little guy. Apparently chocolate cupcakes = heaven. {Obviously!}

It was so much fun to celebrate with all our local family! We all had a wonderful time! I can't believe how big he is getting!

At birth: 7lbs 9 oz
One year: 24 lbs

Has 4 [and 1/2] teeth
Crawls and cruises - stood by himself for about 30 seconds @ his party though!
Has had his first hair cut and dentist appointment
Loves to follow his sister around (already the typical little brother!)
Plays in my cabinets (in my pots and pans)
Will crawl up to Mama and Daddy to give kisses
Demands to feed himself. No more baby food here!
Steals cups with chocolate milk in them
Loves his stuffed tiger and alligator

Happy Birthday to my baby boy!

Kansas City!

In approximately 25 weeks (!!!) Our little southern family will be moving north! We are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives! I know we will miss being so close to family and friends, but there seems to be TONS to do in KC!

Jamon is of course excited about starting school .......

I'm sure he will want to see some pro football, or baseball, or soccer..... or even hockey if we drive to St Louis........

I'm pretty sure that what he is most excited about is the FOOD!!!! Yummy KC BBQ here we come!

Since I plan on returning to my "true" career (Stay at Home Momma!) {YAAAAAYYY for ME!}
I have found soo many things to do with the kiddos!

I know it will be a few years but the American Girl HQ is in KC. Molly and I will have a blast there one day!

There are multiple children's museums and art galleries..................

There is a zoo............
Even a chocolate factory we can tour!
Some cool farms and old towns to play around in (apparently a Renaissance Fair too;)

BUT! (and call me a dork but oh well)I am most excited because the church is building a TEMPLE in Kansas City! I am so stinking excited! I have never lived within 90 miles of a temple and I hope I get to visit it often! It is still under construction - maybe we will even get to go to the dedication! Sheesh - it makes me a little giddy even thinking about it! :)

So - now you know of all the fun things we can do when you come to visit!
